Website Summary of Changes and Helpful Hints
We hope that you like our website redesign! Much thought and effort went into this new website layout to make it easier to use and navigate.

We welcome your comments! You may access the online form HERE, or contact the CBBS Central Office.

Overview of Changes:

1. The navigation bar on the left is included on nearly every page of this website. You will be able to access the main areas of the site from wherever you may be visiting on the site.

Menu items showing a right arrow have sub-menus that will automatically appear when you "mouseover" that menu's text.

2. All pages have a link to the HOME page in the CBBS logo at the upper left of the page.

3. We recommend a visit to the the SITEMAP page to view a general overview of the new site structure.

4. Hyperlinks (links to other pages or sites) are no longer underlined, but are in bright blue, and will appear underlined when "moused over".

5. Certain pages of significant length (e.g. some e-Network Forum discussions) have been split into multiple pages. Links to any further and previous pages that apply will be clearly indicated at the bottom of the page.

6. e-Network Forum and Fast Breaking News items have been archived by year posted. Please use the pull-down menus to review the Tables of Contents by year, or use the search tools. Please note the comments regarding use of the various search tools in #9 below.

7. Global Transfusion News items are now located on their own page. It may be accessed in the sub-menu of "Fast Breaking News".

8. The Useful Links Page has been broken down into subpages, which now contain links by general category. Please submit additional link suggestions to the Editor.

9. The website search has been divided into 3 main categories:

  • Website Search (Powered by Google's Public Service Site)
  • e-Network Forum Search (Powered by Google's Public Service Site)
  • Advanced Search (offers Boolean and soundex options)

*Please keep in mind that any search powered by Google exits the CBBS website server AND may not reflect the most current site structure. Google's Public Service Site Search databases are updated approximately once a month. It may take Google's services about 2-4 weeks to "catch up" with any site update.

*The advanced search should be current with site updates. This database is updated weekly on early Monday mornings.

10. Bookmarks to pages within the CBBS website that you may have added to your browser may no longer work. This is especially true of e-Network Forum discussions, and archived news stories.

11. If you are using Internet Explorer for Windows, and wish to print a page from this site directly from the browser, you may need to change your page layout to "Landscape" in your printing preferences setting. We are in the process of developing printable PDFs for all e-Network Forum discussions as well as various other pages.
