Website Troubleshooting

PROBLEM: How to use the Google Custom Search Tool.

How to Perform a Google Search

  • To enter your query, type in a descriptive word(s) into the search box and click on the "GO " button to display a list of relevant web pages. Google shows an excerpt (or "snippet") of the text that matches your query - with your search terms in boldface in the search results. This sneak preview gives you a good idea if a page is going to be relevant before you visit it.
  • As Google only returns web pages that contain all the words in your query, refining or narrowing your search can be performed by adding more words to the search terms in the box at the bottom of the page containing your search results. Your new query will return a smaller subset of the pages Google found for your original query. There is no need to include "and" between terms. Note that the order in which the terms are typed will affect your search results.
  • You may also limit your search results to e-Network Forum discussions only by using the link provided at the top of the search results page.

NOTE: Google's Search databases are updated approximately once a month. It may take Google's services about 2-3 weeks to "catch up" with our frequent site updates.
