In search of supplier of coolers for use in blood product transfer to the OR
In response to the previous discussion, Transfer of blood products in coolers from the emergency room to the operating room, a colleague in Illinois reports that at her hospital, they also send coolers to the OR. These coolers are to be returned on completion of the surgery case. They are currently monitoring these with digital thermometers that have an alarm. Their problem is that the company they purchased the coolers from is no longer making them. These are very convenient, small and light weight. What coolers are being used by other facilities? They are in need of replacing what they are now using.
