Update: Which hospital department(s) should manage the storage, dispensing, reconstitution and administration of clotting factor concentrates?

A colleague reports that her hospital's Blood Bank currently stores, issues and tracks clotting factor concentrates (recombinant and plasma-derived). She is wondering what the advantages are to having the pharmacy take ownership of storing, issuing and tracking factor concentrates. She is aware of the previous discussion from 2004, and wonders if any new information might influence where best to store these products.
