Sources for Purified Human Plasminogen?
The mother of a male patient (8 years of age) with Plasminogen
Deficiency and clinical manifestation of ligneous conjunctivitis initially
diagnosed in 2003 writes: Looking for a source for Purified
Human Plasminogen in the United States or Canada (she resides in Canada;
the child’s
father lives in Texas). Is anyone aware of Purified Human
Plasminogen available in the US or Canada, even for compassionate
use.
Editor’s
note: According to the FDA, they are not able to confirm
or deny the existence of confidential clinical trials.
She is aware that Purified Fresh Frozen Plasma may also
be effective in treating ligneous conjunctivitis and is
exploring that option with local physician.
