Experience in the preparation of platelet gel, including for use in skin ulcer repair for Scleroderma

A physician in Milan, Italy at a Center for Transfusion Medicine, Cellular Therapy & Cryobiology reports that his center does not yet provide platelet gel, but is considering using this product as part of a multicenter service for bedsore treatment in the elderly population, in coooperation with a plastic surgeon. In addition, they are in the early stages of considering the use of platelet gel for patients with systemic sclerosis (Scleroderma) as part of their skin ulcer repair therapy. The colleagues in Milan are aware of the previous e-Network Forum Discussions:

and wonder what apparatus/device/systems others have selected or developed in order to prepare platelet gel. Furthermore, they ask if any colleagues have specific experience on the use of platelet gel for skin ulcer repair in systemic sclerosis.
