Problem with California State Donor Deferral File of Aug 1, 2002

Ms. Nove Oliver, Clinical Specialist, Blood Donor Center, Providence Health System, San Fernando Valley Serv. Area, reports that the California State deferral file dated 8/1/02 is incomplete, as it only lists up to the last name ending in "WEE". According to Ms. Oliver, most blood centers destroy the old microfiche when a recent copy is received. She would like to know if other blood centers have the old microfiche dated 7/15/02, so that other centers can obtain a copy. In the meantime, her center is halting collection of allogeneic donations from individuals with the last names missing in the state file (after WEE...) until they have access to the complete list. California DHHS has been notified of this problem.
