Assistance requested in investigating possible associations of ABO with von Willebrand factor A colleague in the UK, Dr. James O'Donnell is currently investigating possible associations of ABO with vW factor (see O'Donnell et al Trans Med 2001;11;343-351 (review); O'Donnell et al Br J Haematol 2002;116:350-56; O'Donnell et al Br J Haematol 2003;121:928-31). He is hoping to obtain plasma from Bombay and paraBombay individuals. Ideally, he would like 10 ml, but even as little as 1 ml would help him. The age of the plasma is not important if it has been frozen and the plasma sample meets all criteria for safe transportation across jurisdictions.
